Above is my reworked artwork of my July 24, 2022 original concept artwork (posted below).
The second element I wanted to push is the big & small scale. I increased the size of the jellyfish, drastically. I also decreased the size of the huntress, as I continued on through the creative process. To isolate the huntress, I added a stark highlight against her left flank. Then, I added a shadow casting off her right flank. The sword, in her hand, also helps draw my eye towards her, and away from the grandeur of the jellyfish.
This image, above, was taken 4 hours in to the process. Finding a balanced color palette was a fun challenge. The saturation intensity of the jellyfish was constantly at odds with the huntress' silhouette. I ended up shifting the color palette, quite a bit, which you see in the final product.
